Tyler is way excited about his new bike. He helped to pay for his bike from his allowance that he earns by doing chores. Each chore he does, he gets to put an X on his chore chart. Each Monday we count his X's and give him a penny for each X. He loves counting the pennies and putting 9 in his bank and 1 in his "Tithing" bank, and then he starts over. We asked him what he wanted to save his money for and he said he wanted a 2 wheel bike. So this last Saturday we went to DI and found a bike that would work and last him a couple of years.
Tyler does really well riding his bike, the only problems are starting and stoping by himself (pretty crucial skills if you ask me) :) Thankfully after this crash he hopped back on his bike and kept practicing. We have a tough little dude. :)

He´s so big! And I have to admit the fall was kind of funny!! I´m glad he got right back on the bike...he´s tough like his mommy!
So if I admit I watched him fall over and over, does that make me a terrible person? It was just such a fluid, slow-motion-esque type of fall! And did he say: "I'm okay!" right after? He's such a cutie. And so young to be riding so well! But what impressed me most was the organized "chore chart and allowance system", complete with a separate tithing bank. You're such good parents! Thank you for sharing your adorable little guy with us on your blog. We love seeing his adventures. We missed you at Twain Harte, and talked about our little wrestler. Can't wait to see you again soon! (Maybe Christmas?)
