Cutest McKay Pictures

Once again, my friend Natalie is so awesome!! She is such a fun photographer and we always love how the pictures come out. If anyone wants her number just email me. :)

Thankfully Mckay was so good while we did his pictures.

Tyler has been such a good big brother. He loves McKay so much. He is always wanting to hold him, hug him, kiss him, and give him snuggles. He does such a good job helping with McKay by rocking him in his chair, or singing to him, and finding things for me, like the binky. I think that we might finally be getting into a routine.

More to come later. (Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to take off Tyler's Pics, you just get to see double the cuteness.:)

McKay Troy Blevins

Tyler is a big brother!!! (This is a quick post, more pictures will be coming)

McKay Troy came into the world on Monday, September 14th, 2009 at 7:20 am. He wieghed 6 lbs 12 oz, and was 20 inches long.

Sunday night at about 9 pm, my water broke, and we went into the hospital and were checked in by about 10 pm. The rest of the night was pretty boring with just waiting in between contractions. I am glad to say that the second time is much easier and goes faster. At about 7 am I had dialated to a 10 and the doctor came in at 7:10 am. After 10 minutes of pushing we were a family of 4.

Park City Vacation

This year we went to Park City for a family vacation. Originally everyone was going to come, but Cassie had some health struggles and had to have surgery and stay in the hospital for a couple of days. She is doing just fine now. For that reason, mom and Lawrence didn't get to stay and Cassie couldn't come up. So this year it was Heather, Travis, and Tyler, Jason and his girl friend Whitney, and Tiffany. We went to the Park City Resort where they have the Alpine slide: a slide you slide down the mountain on a skateboard like thing; the coaster: a roller coaster that takes you to the top of the mountain and then brings you back down; a zip line, rock climbing, trampoline with bungee cords, a human maze, and mini golf. We had tons of fun. Jason, Whitney and Tiffany did a little biking as well. Travis, Tyler and Heather went to the ski museum and saw an Olympic gallery where they had olympic medals, racing uniforms, pictures, and a whole bunch more on the winter olympics held there. We were able to watch some athlete's practice their ski jumps. The trip was so much fun and we really missed, Cassie, Mom, and Lawrence.

Fireworks for the 4th of July

This year we were so lucky and were able to go to the Stadium of Fire show (which has one of the biggest fireworks displays, and this year had the Jonas Brothers). Thanks Grandma DeEtta!!!! A couple of days later we finally got around to lighting our street fireworks. Cassie, Grandma Delanie, and Lawrence came over to our place and we did fireworks in the culdesac. Tyler loved it.

A visit from Cortez Family

Family from Cortez Colorado came up for a visit recently. We had so much fun with them. Tyler was practically stuck like glue to Briston, Rory, and Kaden. Canoeing with Grandma DeEtta was my favorite, and playing mini-golf with Grandma DeEtta and Jason.

Bike Tricks

I promise that there are no crashes this time. Tyler has been practicing his bike a lot this last month. He whips around the culdesac and pedals so fast then stops just as fast and keeps trying new things. He started standing and pedaling, riding off of the curb, and going on the sidewalk and drive way. The one thing that keeps my fears down is the fact that he is always wearing knee pads, elbow pads, bike gloves, and a helmet to help minimize injuries. Even still, Tyler is one fearless boy who is always pushing himself to the next level.

Tyler's 1st Bike!!!

Tyler is way excited about his new bike. He helped to pay for his bike from his allowance that he earns by doing chores. Each chore he does, he gets to put an X on his chore chart. Each Monday we count his X's and give him a penny for each X. He loves counting the pennies and putting 9 in his bank and 1 in his "Tithing" bank, and then he starts over. We asked him what he wanted to save his money for and he said he wanted a 2 wheel bike. So this last Saturday we went to DI and found a bike that would work and last him a couple of years.

Tyler does really well riding his bike, the only problems are starting and stoping by himself (pretty crucial skills if you ask me) :) Thankfully after this crash he hopped back on his bike and kept practicing. We have a tough little dude. :)

Joy School Graduation

At the end of May Tyler had his Joy School Graduation Celebration!!! All of the kids were so cute and excited to sing their songs, and show their family flags. The graduation was tons of fun. Tyler, Travis, and I sang a song called "With a Kiss and a Snug". All the kids sang "They Wanted Me", "Oh Boy, I've Got Joy", and the joy school pep song. We had graduation hats for each of them and gave each child a certificate and report card. The graduation went great. Thanks to Aynn, Natalie, Alyssa, and Molly for making Joy School such a great experience. Tyler misses it a lot.

Swimming

Grandpa Mike and Grandma Bobbie came for a visit after Easter and we had lots of fun at their hotel pool. Traven was so excited and cute every time we went. It was so much fun. Tyler always loves swimming and started to feel comfortable enough to hold his breath and go under water for a few seconds. We always love seeing Mike and Bobbie.

Easter in Cortez, Co.

For Easter we visited family in Cortez and celebrated Tyler's Great-Great Grandmothers birthday. It was great to see everyone and we had a blast. Tyler loved coloring easter eggs, and finding them easter morning. Valorie let Tyler and Travis ride one of her horses and the zip line was tons of fun. Thanks Valorie!!! Tyler waited very patiently to ride on the tractor with Travis(a family friend, not dad)and help dig a ditch for Grandma DeEtta. We had so much fun Tyler really didn't want to leave.

Tyler's Birthday!!!

Tyler's Birthday Party was so much fun. All of his friends had a great time and the games went so smoothly. We did pin the tail on the dinosaur, had a dinosaur pinata(that Cassie, Tiffany, and Grandma Delanie to helpfully worked on and finished for me, Thanks guys), the cake came out great, and Tyler loved having all his friends there. It was a great Birthday for Tyler. Thank you to all of our friends and family for making it so special for Tyler.

Shooting Guns with Cousins in Colorado

Christmas Pics

Christmas

Here is our Christmas story. We began the cold month of December giving back to nature. Grandma Delanie, Lawrence, Jason, Tyler and Heather took time out to feed the ducks at the Provo River. Tyler loves to throw out whole slices of bread at a time while we try to get him to break it into smaller pieces. We had so much fun and went through about 4 loafs of bread atleast.

Tyler and Heather went ice skating and Tyler loved talking to Santa.

A few days before Christmas is snowed and snowed here in Provo. Tyler woke up that morning and saw the snow and wanted to go out and play and shovel with his own snow shovel. I told Tyler he had to eat breakfast and then we'd get our snow gear on and go out side. Tyler loved helping Heather shovel the snow off the sidewalks and drive way. Ofcourse snow angels were on Tyler's agenda.

Jason came sledding with us at Rock Canyon Park. Tyler loved zooming down the hill. We had races and watched to see who could slide the farthest. Tyler didn't want to leave even though it was way past sunset and the night was getting very cold.

Tyler's Joy School group had a Christmas party. They put on their Christ's Birth play and sang songs for all of their families. Tyler was the Inn Keeper and pronounced "No Room" after 'Joseph' would knock on the Inn's door. Then Tyler would be a wise man and would give a gift to the baby Jesus. Tyler loves Joy school and all his friends there.

The next 3 pictures are of our gift exchange with Heather's family. Tyler was so excited he had to help everyone open their presents.

Tyler loved visiting our family in California. We did our Christmas Eve presents which are always pajamas. And we set out cookies and milk for Santa. On Christmas morning the first thing that Tyler check on was to see if Santa had eaten the cookies and milk. He was so excited that Santa had eaten the cookies and milk that he didn't even acknowledge the presents stacked in front of the cookie plate. :)

While in California we went to the Zoo and saw the "Zoo Lights". We also went on some rides. Tyler rode a small rolercoaster and after he got off I asked him if it was fun. He said "No, it was scary". I asked, "was is a fun scary or a too scary?". Tyler replied with, "it was a too scary, I don't want to go again." He did have fun on the train and carousel.

We also went to the roller skating rink. Tyler's cousin Samantha had a great time skating and playing air hockey with Tyler. And there were many hot tub opportunities at Papa Mike's. All the cousin's loved playing in the hot tub.

Christmas was great this year and it was so much fun watching Tyler through it all.
The best part was being able to spend so much time with all of our families.
We love you all and wish you the best in the year to come.

Love, Travis, Heather, and Tyler Blevins
